round knurled handle, 11" (28.0 cm) Cobb Spinal Gouge is a specially crafted instrument for use in spinal surgeries. This instrument features a round knurled handle, these micro serrations allow for added gripping to prevent slipping during use. The gouge is designed to be used in the close spaces of the vertebral canal and around it to make holes or to scrape away at bone. It is available in four different styles: straight, medium curve, strong curve and reverse curve making it well suited for a vast array of surgical scenarios and satisfy any surgeon preference.

This instrument is a flat metal piece that tapers on one end and is slightly curved out of the plane of the handle. Osteotomes have the added benefit of being operated manually and thus the pressure can be adjusted readily as cuts are created and continued through bone. Additionally this osteotome does not have calibration lines. 9" (23.0 cm) Swan Neck Gouge is an instrument designed for gouging or removing particular sections of bone. Additionally it can also be used as a chisel with increased force applied to it to split bone or to scoop out segments to increase access to the center. A unique feature of this particular gouge is the swan shaped curvature that allows it to access difficult to reach areas without obscuring the surgical field and keeping the handle out the plane of surgery.

This osteotome can be used in many different neurosurgical and orthopedic type surgical interventions that require manipulation of bone. It features a slim handle and a further flattened body that ends in a chisel type point that allows for scooping or scraping of the bone for a variety of reasons including increasing access and visualization to the surgical field. Additionally this osteotome is available in either 4.0 mm width or 6.0 mm width making it suitable for a vast array of surgical procedures.
