Wires can e placed in a variety of surgical settings that require addition of and manipulation of wire. This twister features tungsten carbide inserts which confer stability as well as serrated jaws which gives them an additional stable grasp on the wire. Not only can this instrument be used to trim wire but also surgical pins. Fracture repair and other bone repair surgeries has to be set with pins that also need to be trimmed using this instrument.
