DeBakey Abdominal Aorta Clamp is made for use in some cardiothoracic surgeries. Although this clamp is versatile it is specifically designed for clamping of the abdominal aorta to reduce the risk of excessive bleeding during surgical procedures. This instrument’s design includes a spoon shaped flat jaw which allows for adequate clamping force without causing tearing or damage such as at the bifurcation of the abdominal aorta. This clamp is available in two different lengths: 10.5 inches and 9 inches to make this a more versatile tool for many different procedures.
