The unique "S" shaped curvature of the jaws makes it contoured to fit the unique curvature and shapes necessary of atraumatic clamping of vessels. Although this instrument could have a wide application on other vessels it is designed for use in clamping of the aorta. This instrument is comprised of premium German operating-room grade stainless steel.

This clamp is ideal for use when there is a surgical maneuver that requires exclusion of a specific portion of the vessel. This clamp is build sturdily but made small enough to clamp the delicate vessels of a newborn child. This instrument is particularly well suited due to its ability to maintain a hold on the vessel without causing tears or rip on the delicate vessel walls of the newborn.
