Boehler Wire & Pin Extractor can be used in a variety of procedures to manipulate surgical pins and wire. Many orthopedic procedures such as repair of fractures or insertion of support after laminectomy procedures require the use of wire or pin. These added support confer additional stability to the bone and increase the speed of healing while reducing the damage done by trauma. This particular instrument can be used to insert, remove and reshape wires and pins as they are needed. This instrument is available in three different sizes to satisfy a variety of patient needs and surgeon preferences.

serrated jaws, 7" (17.8 cm), 3.0 mm tip Flat Nose K-Wire Pliers are instruments ideally suited for use with surgical K-wire. This wire can be used for temporary fixation in some procedures thus giving support through the healing process and then can be removed. Additionally K-wire can be used in permanent fixation and can also be passed through the skin and bone to provide direct traction to the bone itself. In all of this surgical scenarios this instrument will be of optimal function in manipulation and handling of the wire and features serrated jaws which gives added hold and grip to prevent slipping. This instrument is available with or without a grooved jaw.

Many orthopedic and neurosurgical spinal procedures require the use of such stabilization accessories to prevent trauma during recovery and confer additionally stability. This instrument is particularly well suited for end cutting which allows it to be made flush with the edge of bone or other tissue areas where it is being used. Additionally this end cutter features tungsten carbide jaws and has a maximum capacity of 1/16".

end cutting, max cutting capacity 1/16" (1.7 mm), 7-1/2" (19.0 cm) Cannulated Pin Cutter is a specialized instrument ideally suited or use in procedures of fracture repair or other procedures where a graft is set with a pin. The unique design of this cutter allows for effective end cutting. The entire head portion of the pin can be inserted into the cutter and clipped flush and the remaining clipped portion remains held in the cutter to be removed. The maximum cutting capacity of this pin cutter is 1.7 mm.
