This clamp is designed for use as a renal clamp to block or reduce blood flow through the renal vessels going to and from the kidney. To accommodate the positioning of these vessels this instrument comes with a significant angle to the jaws making access to the renal vasculature easier. The scissor grip handles and the ratcheting mechanism for keeping the clamp in place allows for this clamp to stay securely in place through the surgical procedure but is gentle enough to keep from injuring the vessel walls.

Additionally, this instrument features double angled jaws that are calibrated at 5 mm intervals making it possible to make accurate measurements during the procedure.
