9-1/2" (24.0 cm) Hibbs Chisel is designed to scrape away and through bone to allow access to the surgical field. This chisel is designed to cleanly and effectively make cuts in bone without causing splintering and damage to surrounding areas. This instrument features a strong geometric shaped handle that tapers into a narrow neck and widens again to create a chisel head. The chisel also features a sharpened end for increased effectiveness in bone manipulation. This instrument is available in ten different sizes ranging from 6.0 mm to 38.0 mm making it well suited for use in small delicate areas as well as in larger bony areas.

octagonal handle, 8" (20.0 cm) Cherry Osteotome is designed for use in cutting and preparation of bone in neurosurgical procedures. This osteotome has a long, slender profile as well as a uniquely designed octagonal handle which allows it to be gripped and maneuvered easily. Additionally this osteotome is available in five widths 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and 7.0 mm and in either a straight or curved profile making it suitable for a wide variety of patient needs and surgical approaches.

This instrument is a flat metal piece that tapers on one end and is slightly curved out of the plane of the handle. Osteotomes have the added benefit of being operated manually and thus the pressure can be adjusted readily as cuts are created and continued through bone. Additionally this osteotome does not have calibration lines. This instrument features a sturdy handle for ease in handling which then narrows at the neck and widens again into a blade. One potential use of this osteotome is to saw through the skull to increase access during surgery such as craniotomy. Additionally this instrument can be used to reshape bony areas. This osteotome is available in either a curved or straight profile in size sizes ranging from 3.0 mm to 16.0 mm making this a highly versatile instrument suitable for a number of surgical procedures.
