swiss pattern, 5-1/8" (13.0 cm) Mini-Lambotte Osteotome is an instrument designed for use in cutting bone. This osteotome is crafted with a Swiss pattern. Osteotome offer significant advantages over drilling because they do not generate heat which can be damaging and also offer an increased level of tactile sensation. This instrument is available in a straight profile at twelve different lengths from 2.0 mm to 24.0 mm in 2 mm increments or in a set of nine. This instrument is also available in a curved profile in seven different lengths from 2.0 to 14.0 mm in 2 mm increments.

This osteotome can be used to do things such as create a window in the skull to allow access inside or to scrape or carve away at bone to reshape it. Additionally this instrument features a large, cylindrical handle with micro-serrations for added griping as well as a neck piece from which the blade extends making it firmly built. straight, 6-1/4" (16.0 cm) US Army Pattern Gouge is a specialized instrument designed for removal of specific segments of bone. This gouge is designed similarly to a chisel but the blade portion features a curvature to it allowing it to be used to scoop up segments. The opposite end of this gouge has a rounded, flat end that can be used with a mallet to increase the driving force to effectively pierce through bone. This gouge is available in three sizes 6.0 mm, 12.0 mm and 18.0 mm making them well suited for larger bones in the spinal surgery and smaller ones for more delicate work on the skull.

This osteotome can be used in many different neurosurgical and orthopedic type surgical interventions that require manipulation of bone. It features a slim handle and a further flattened body that ends in a chisel type point that allows for scooping or scraping of the bone for a variety of reasons including increasing access and visualization to the surgical field.
