Cooley Cardiovascular Clamp 2" (5.1 cm) curved jaws, 10-3/4" (27.3 cm) Cooley Cardiovascular Clamp is an ideal tool for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures that require clamping of vessels to prevent excessive bleeding. This instrument is designed with two inch curved jaws that allow for stable closure of vessel while maintaining gentle enough pressure on the vessel wall to prevent damage or tearing. Additionally, this clamp features a ratcheting mechanisms to keep the clamp locked in place during surgery.

Cooley Caval Occlusion Forceps 8-1/4" (21.0 cm) Cooley Caval Occlusion Forceps are specially designed vascular clamps for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This instrument is designed with ring handles for ease in maneuvering and opening and closing and also a ratcheting mechanism to hold the forceps at a particular tightness. The most unique feature of these forceps is that each jaw features a half circle projection outwards which when the jaw is brought together forms a complete circular opening as well as the fact that the entire instrument is formed in a crescent type shape. This instrument is available with a number of different diameters to the opening in the jaws in 2 fr. Increments from 24 – 40 fr.

This clamp features jaws that are calibrated at 5.0 mm intervals but are still delicate enough for use in pediatric surgeries. This instrument is designed to keep a firm hold on the vessels that are being occluded but delicate enough not to bruise or tear the vessels thus reducing the amount of damage done to the patient. These forceps have a wide application but are particularly well suited for use in manipulating auricular appendages. Each auricle leads into its respective atrium and thus this instrument is of use in surgical procedures that require access to the atria. The scissor handle grip allows for ease in grasping and manipulating this tool.
